Microsoft’s “Your Phone” App Connects Android And iPhone To Your PC

among the tons of developer-focused announcements made at the Build 2018 conference, there is one that’s pretty useful for end users. Microsoft has taken its cross-device experience to another level through their new app called Your Phone. However, they aren’t the first ones to do such thing. MacOS already includes a functionality that allows iOS users to take calls and texts on their iPhone.
While not many details are known about the app, among various features, it would let people mirror their Android smartphone on Windows 10 PC.
For iOS, the mirroring part is not confirmed, but the users would be able to do a somewhat limited set of things like accessing photos, texts, notifications without touching their iPhone.
To get the feature running, the devices will require Edge browser which powers the existing Continue on PC feature.
The app will arrive with the Redstone 5 update releasing later this year. If you’re one of the people who can’t wait to try it out, get yourself enrolled in the Windows Insider program. But if you don’t want to run the buggy build, you can continue to use the existing phone linking features in Windows 10.
Microsoft will throw more light on Your Phone on the second day of the developer conference.
